Let’s Get Serious with Kelly Bolton

For my second episode, I interview Kelly Bolton from Off Off Broadzway, a musical sketch group that puts a comedic spin on the burlesque revival of recent years.

In Off Off Broadzway, Kelly plays Andy Drodgenous, a sleazy dude that follows the girls around and adds suggestive comments between (and sometimes during) songs. We talk about what it’s like to say “boner” in front of your mom and debate what a thunderbolt is.

This expression alludes to the phases of the moon, with its periodic changes in size. It was first recorded in the 1300s.”
