I recently completed some branding work for Adams County Waste & Recycling.
Adams County is a an area of Ohio, East of Cincinnati along the Ohio River that includes many parks and preserves including the Great Serpent Mound—one of North America’s largest effigy mounds.
Adams County Waste & Recycling is making efforts to reduce roadside pollution and encourage use of their trash disposal and recycling facilities.
The first thing that I did was redesign their logo—you can compare the before and after below.
Here are full-color, two-color and B&W versions of the new mark.
I also designed a direct mail piece and a billboard to complete the campaign.
When I went to photograph the billboard I also visited Miller’s (amazing Amish) Bakery and photographed one of the covered bridges that Adams County is known for. Here’s an image of Kirker Covered Bridge, built in 1890.
I didn’t have time to visit the Serpent Mound or eat at the Olde Wayside Inn (originally the Bradford Tavern, built in 1804) so a future visit will have to happen at some point.
